Your first yoga class? 10 rules and tips to keep in mind!

Are you a beginner in yoga practice or are about to attend your first yoga class? We offer you 10 rules and tips to keep in mind.

1. When you buy your yoga clothes for the first time, look for fabrics that absorb perspiration. Choose shirts with bra crossed by the back as they offer a suitable bra and do not show much the neckline. The trousers should be stretched and adjusted to retain their shape after thrusts and stretching; Also choose the most comfortable length.

Wearing loose or stretchable clothing is best for practicing yoga poses. There are many clothing manufacturers that specialize in yoga clothes, but you will pay a premium for the fit and performance, so you might want to start with what you already might have in your closet.

2. Choose a slow-paced style of yoga, such as Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga or Iyengar Yoga. Leave the dynamics Ashtanga and Vinyasa, as well as Bikram Yoga for later, when you gain confidence and experience.

6 Think about investing in a good yoga mat. It should be firm and strong, not too thick or too thin, and of course pleasant to the touch.

7. Some yoga instructors offer adjustments to make sure you perform all postures in the proper way. If you do not feel good when a stranger touches or pulls you, just tell him.

8. Use yoga accessories if you are not flexible enough to do certain asanas.

9. Hydrate before, after and, if necessary, during practice.

10. A typical configuration of the mats in a yoga class is the teacher in the part of the room perpendicular to the scholars and the students with their mats parallel to each other and slightly staggered. Be sure to place your mat so that there is enough space both in front of and behind it.

BONUS The most important thing to do in yoga is to breathe, especially when holding the postures. Learn the basic Dirga pranayama breath to use during yoga. Most importantly, breathe in and out through the nose into the belly.
